USSV is a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to
assisting and educating our nation's senior veterans and their
surviving spouses about the Non-Service Connected Disability Pension
with Aid and Attendance. This benefit may be available for those
needing home health care, assisted living or skilled nursing. We are
here to provide guidance through what can often be a complex and

Our Lead VA
Richard P. Schulze, JD, MBA
Chief Legal Counsel and VA Accredited Attorney for U.S. Senior
Richard Schulze is a Nevada attorney with over 20 years of experience. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, Richard pursued his graduate education receiving his Doctor of Jurisprudence and Master of Business Administration at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. Mr. Schulze is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and WeathCounsel, LLC.

Prior to Mr Buckman's retirement from the government he served as the President of the California Veterans Service Officers and was highly recognized for various achievements for his work attaining benefits for qualified Veterans as a VSO. During Mr. Buckman's 20 years of service in the Army he was able to attain the rank of Warrant Officer.
Brigadier General Ellsworth (Ret.)
During 40 years of service with the National Guard General
Ellsworth’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit;
Meritorious Service Service Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters and
the Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters.
